Her birth date was 29 March 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Her birth name is Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson is a native of Mexico to Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. Stevenson is American and is of Mexican American heritage. Ever since she was young she's been extremely keen on playing sports. Gerina began playing golf after she reached the age of 15. Gerina completed her high school education through Goddard High School. In high school, she won in the New Mexico golf state tournament. She was a volleyball player and participated in state championships. The year 2003 was the time she enrolled at the University of Texas. While in her senior years she took home the top prize in every competition which she participated in. During her college career she was awarded her Conference USA Player of The Year award and The UTEP Female Sport Athletics Award.
