Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri is an Indian actress, who gained notoriety for her roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun as well as Beta Saajan. The actress began her career as an actress during the 80s. The actress became popular for Tezaab, a film starring the veteran actor Anil Kooor. In the next film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared with her. In Mumbai her home, she grew up by middle class parents. At a very young stage, she was able to learn dance. At the age of 15 when she began to act, she was not successful as a lot of her movies were unsuccessful. Her fame grew and she became one of India's leading film actresses. After her wedding, she took a short time off from her acting career until she returned. Recently, she was a key player as a character in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggles of women in India. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which, eight were awarded. Dixit was also awarded the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. She has also been recognized for her work in the field of social work.
