Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. In Charleston O'Dell's reports on the lenient police approach to DUI cases resulted in a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in states authorities again releasing the strictest guidelines regarding these cases. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. Her work in Charleston led her to serve as co-anchor and investigative reporter and anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to she joined Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as the NBC weekend co-anchor. In addition to her current work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and in addition contributes to Dateline NBC. She has reported on the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals shows at The Emmys. Co-hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
